Updated Sept. 7, '01 August 03, 2001 Robert Randazzo, this is Ken Clarke at the Orlando Sentinel.  My wife and I spent a wonderfully relaxing week at Indialantic and the Oceanfront Cottages (the Cayman Suite) in early June. Sunday, the Sentinel's Travel section will include a story I wrote about the week. An information box that is running with the story contains a mention of the cottages, your 800 number and Web address. So you may get a call or two from readers looking for a nice place to stay in a pleasant beach town. I hope so. Anyway, I wanted to alert you. Cons: I hear they book up during season so call ahead... Recommended: Yes So you're vacationing in Florida, but you don't want to deal w/ the crowds or the high-rise hotels and cheesy Kissimee?? If you're at all like me, when you say 'getaway' you mean RELAX...maybe have a BBQ with your honey, lounge by the pool, catch a wave or two, go for a leisurely bike ride along the beach, pick up a good book and park yourself in the sun--feet in the water--and know that 'home' for now is NOT an hour drive in traffic but just behind your back...and it's quiet...and it's beautiful... Indialantic (SO close to Melbourne), Florida is small-town. Close enough to see Disney world or Kennedy Center in the day & still feel like your in paradise at night...especially if you're staying in these cozy cottages. Robert Randazzo's your host & you can tell he put some serious TLC into these 4 beach units. They're simply beautiful, with full kitchens, Mexican tile floors, fireplaces, fans, a pool, beautiful lighting, barbeques, swings, kayaks, bikes, washer & dryer - there's virtually everything you will need - just make a quick run to the local supermarket for your food & drink and you will be set for a week of laziness. If it's still alive there's that parrot in the back, beside the pool...he's got desks set up in some of the suites - complete w/ books and artworks. Now THIS is what vacation rentals should feel like...plus, you're right on the beach - and just south of most of the traffic (important, don'tcha think?). Watch the turtles (daybreak & before) as they scamper back to the Atlantic or check the phosphorescence in the sand (it really sparks!).      Thank you for a "picture postcard" perfect vacation. The place was all we could have dreamed of - and more. Exquisitely detailed in every way - including atmosphere, ambience and the more elusive feeling of being at home.
     Reggie and I have waited a long time for this all-too-brief vacation and we feared the anticipation might exceed the realization - not so in your wonderfully perfect Oceanfront World!

     Ray and I just wanted to say thank you an let you know how much we enjoyed spending the week at the Sea Cottage. We both agreed that it was the nicest vacation we have ever had. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed just relaxing on the patio and reading. The beach was beautiful. We already miss it and can't wait to come back. If we wanted to reserve the cottage again for next year, how far ahead would you suggest we give you a deposit? Also, do you know if the Art fair in Melbourne is always the third weekend in April? We would like to plan on being there for that next year.
     Thank you again for having such a nice place for us to vacation.

JUST WANTED TO DROP YOU A NOTE TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH WE ENJOYED OUR VACATION. IT WAS THE BEST ACCOMMODATIONS THAT WE HAVE EVER HAD....I DON'T KNOW HOW WE COULD BEAT IT! WE GOT IN LATE FRIDAY NIGHT, AND LEFT SO EARLY SAT. MORNING THAT I FORGOT TO PUT OUR REMARKS IN YOUR VACATION BOOK.

Robert, 
     My husband and I just spent 3 weeks in Florida, with I of the weeks in your beautiful Bahama Suite. This was my favorite week of the entire vacation. Even though Tropical Storm 'Barry' produced rain for 4 of the 7 days, I was completely happy. After 2 days here, you be& to feel Re a part of this place, as though you have always lived here. The beach was beautiful and everything was within walking distance. The cottage was so quaint and comfortable that we stayed inside often, listening to music while working on a jigsaw puzzle! I really hated to leave. Next year we are talking about staying in the St. Thomas Suite or maybe even the townhouse for our full 3 weeks!!!!!! 

   Thank you for a wonderful vacation and many happy memories to bring back home to SC.
